Not too long ago I received a review copy of "The Vengeful Djinn: Unveiling the Hidden Agendas of Genies" by Rosemary Ellen Guiley and Philip J. Imbrogno. I really enjoyed the book and set about trying to verbalize what the book was about and why it was a worthy read. The problem was, my mind kept wandering back to the introduction written by Philip J. Imbrogno. It was just so good at explaining the book, and it did so in such a way that I couldn't wait to get into reading the book itself. On a whim I contacted Llewellyn, the publisher of "The Vengeful Djinn" about being able to publish Imbrogno's introduction on The Magical Buffet for my readers, and much to my delight they said yes.

So without further ado, Philip J. Imbrogno's introduction from "The Vengeful Djinn"!

This past October I attended the 2nd Annual Northern New York Paranormal Expo put together by the City of Plattsburgh and the Northern New York Paranormal Research Society. While there I fell in love with TOD, the adorable Terrestrial Optical Droid new to the NNYPRS. After reading my article about the event, Brian Leighton who has been writing about paranormal research technology for The Magical Buffet, jumped to the obvious conclusion that I would want a whole article devoted to TOD. He was right.

Guess what? October is almost here! I know! Where the heck did the summer go? Living in the northeast, October is often ominous. Although the changing leaves are beautiful, gazing upon them instantly makes me wonder, exactly how much snow we will get this year? As someone who commutes to their job, snow is a vexing occurrence. However, there is one thing about this October that I'm very excited about....
